Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: September 19, 2026
1. Purpose
This policy applies to everyone who uses NexaraHost services and to everything hosted on or sent from them. It exists to keep our servers fast, our IP addresses trusted, and our customers on the right side of the law. It forms part of our Terms of Service. You are responsible for your own users, customers, and anyone you give access to.
2. Prohibited content and activity
You may not use our services to host, store, send, link to, or promote:
- anything illegal under US law or the law where you or your audience are located;
- child sexual abuse material or any content that sexualizes minors. We report this to the authorities and terminate immediately;
- malware, viruses, phishing pages, credential harvesters, fake login or payment pages, or command-and-control infrastructure;
- content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property, including pirated software, media, and "warez", cracks, or key generators;
- fraudulent schemes, including pyramid and Ponzi schemes, fake stores, and impersonation of real people or organizations;
- content that threatens, harasses, or incites violence against people, or that publishes private personal information without consent;
- sale of illegal goods, or of prescription drugs or other regulated goods without the required licenses.
3. Email and spam
- No unsolicited bulk or commercial email, whether sent from our servers or sent elsewhere to advertise a site hosted with us.
- Mailing lists must be opt-in, must include a working unsubscribe link, and must honor unsubscribe requests promptly. Purchased, rented, or scraped lists are not allowed.
- Hourly sending limits apply to shared hosting to protect server reputation. If you need to send large volumes, use a dedicated email delivery service.
- Do not forge headers, sender addresses, or otherwise disguise where a message came from.
4. Fair use of shared resources
Shared hosting means many customers share one server. Accounts are for running websites and their email, and may not be used for:
- general file storage, backup or archive storage, or file-sharing and download mirrors;
- audio or video streaming services, or image and media hosting for other sites;
- cryptocurrency mining, or distributed computing projects;
- proxies, VPNs, Tor nodes, torrent clients or trackers, IRC servers or bots, or game servers;
- long-running background processes, or scripts that consume excessive CPU, memory, disk I/O, or database connections;
- scheduled tasks (cron jobs) running more often than every five minutes.
If an account puts sustained heavy load on a server, we may throttle or suspend it to protect other customers and will contact you about optimizing the site or moving to a larger plan.
5. Security
- Keep your applications, themes, and plugins updated, and use strong, unique passwords. Out-of-date software is the most common cause of hacked sites.
- Do not attempt to access other customers' accounts or data, probe or scan our systems or anyone else's, or bypass any security or usage limit.
- Do not use our services to launch or take part in denial-of-service attacks, brute-force attacks, or any other attack on another system.
- If your account is compromised and is being used for abuse, we may suspend it immediately to contain the problem, then work with you to clean it up.
6. Enforcement
What we do depends on how serious the problem is. For most issues we will contact you and give you a reasonable chance to fix them. For activity that is illegal, harms other customers, or puts our network at risk, we may suspend or remove the content or the account immediately and without prior notice. Serious or repeated violations lead to termination without refund. We cooperate with law enforcement where we are legally required to.
7. Reporting abuse
To report abuse coming from a site or email address hosted with us, email abuse@nexarahost.com with the domain or URL involved, a description of the problem, and any evidence such as full email headers or logs. Copyright owners can send infringement notices to the same address; include the work concerned, the location of the infringing material, your contact details, and a statement made in good faith that the use is not authorized.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as new kinds of abuse emerge. The current version is always on this page.
